October News

Dear Readers,
Our first month of spring is already over and it feels like the countdown to the festive season has already started. One of the blooms I most look forward to in spring is my peony tree. I have a single one but my neighbour has a glorious double one. It’s such a beautiful shade of pink and the bees love it. Teddy and Louis love sitting out in the garden while my friend does the gardening for me. I used to do it all before I began to write full time. Talk about superwoman!
I’ve been working on my 100th book but I’m now facing an interruption to my writing schedule due to more spinal surgery- my 7th! I certainly didn’t win the genetic lottery when it came to my spine. I hope once this process is over,  I’ll be able to get back to work without pain, or at least a lot less of it.
I feel very grateful I live in an era  where surgical procedures and pain management are so advanced compared to previous times. Imagine living 100 or 200 years ago!
I have the title for book two of the Wilde brothers trilogy– Rivals’ One Night Rule. Jack and Sylvie’s story is an enemies to lovers story trope which is one of my favourite tropes to write.
Happy reading,
Melanie x
